About Us
 Brief history
Le Partenariat (The Partnership) is a French international solidarity organisation. It was founded in 198, after the twinship between the city of Lille in France and the city of Saint-Louis in Senegal.
PSLR is an independent association based on the French Law of 1901. Its radius of actions is in the frame of the decentralised cooperation initiated by the city of Lille and that of Saint-Louis, then expanded in the Department of North, the region of Nord Pas de Calais and the region of Saint-Louis.
The association has rapidely denied the simple view of an assistance. Already in 1984, it organised the first exchange and reciprocator projects through a youth construction workshop. Then it launched a program of cooperation, aiming at supporting the local initiatives and at reinforcing the competencies of the local participants, as well in the medical domain than in the educational or in urban and municipal management.
Recently, the association sees a substantial importance in education in development where the GAIA project is one of the main initiative.
Objectives
The association intervenes in the region of Saint-Louis in such activites as :
 Help in the local development
Motivate and encourage the towns-twinship and the dialogue between Lille and Saint-Louis; between the Department of North and Saint-Louis region, in a reciprocal manner.
Practise and promote, the education in development and in the international responsibility of the citizens in Nord Pas de Calais in a solid and continual manner.
Actions In Saint-Louis and in its region :
animation in schools
support of vulnerable populations
support in the municipal management
assemblage and management of the house garbage
infrastructure and renovation
urbanism
reorganisation of the markets, etc.
protection of the health of the mother and infant
support the dynamisation of town suburbs
support economical development
Our interventions are wilfully limited for a certain area : Saint-Louis and its region, in order to allow a global and transversal realisation of the development.
